The magnolia spread. The greige took hold. The safe choice was made again and again until rooms that were once full of character became pleasant, inoffensive, and entirely forgettable. I opened COOKIE as a quiet rebellion against all of that.

We are not a gift shop, per se. We are a sanctuary for the playfully offbeat — tucked into Lees Yard in Holt, Norfolk, stocked with handpicked pieces for homes and wardrobes that dare to have personality.

Everything here has been chosen because it earns its place: the lampshades made by hand in silk and crafted to order, the furniture rebuilt from reclaimed wood by a carpenter who makes nothing twice, the lamps that began life as Foras slate vases until we decided they deserved to glow. Nothing arrives on these shelves without a reason.

What we know - after years of working in the interiors world - is that most people are not afraid of colour or character. They are afraid of getting it wrong.

They stand in front of something beautiful and interesting and quietly talk themselves out of it.

COOKIE exists to gently talk you back in. We will never push, never pressure, and never tell you what your home should look like. But we will show you what happens when a Moroccan vase meets a grey sofa, or a bold lampshade lands in a room that thought it was finished. And we will be there when something clicks.
